BallotReady

Brand Identity, Prototyping, Social Venture, UI, UX

BallotReady is a comprehensive voter guide on candidates running for office. It's scope runs deep from local to national elections. My development partner and I helped the client define and grow the user experience. We also provided testing and analysis once the website was launched.

Studio Akemi designed BallotReady's UI and Visual Design. It launched in October 2015 for Indiana, Kentucky, and Virginia.

User Orientation

User Orientation

Paramount to the user experience was the ability to find the user's unique ballot based on geographic location. In addition, the user could filter through results based on his/her political orientation and customize the presentation of candidates from alphabetical to party affiliation to randomized listing.

Discoverability

Discoverability

Another aspect of the experience was the discoverability of candidates. The user could browse through a candidate's profile page and navigate right or left to competitors for the same office. The user can paginate between offices too.
